“Take Me Out” – Saturday 12th May @ Magherabuoy Hotel

Eoghan Rua players eye up the talent ahead of our upcoming event, ‘Take Me Out’ which will be held in the Magherabuoy Hotel on Saturday 12th May.  No doubt the guys and girls will be hoping for the ‘perfect match’ on the night.  Barry and Eoin will want the lights to stay on because if they hear the phrase ‘no likey, no lighty’  then the game is over, red card time and off you go chaps (cue tears). Meanwhile, will the ’player of their dreams’  really turn up for any of the girls? The only way you’re going to know for sure is to turn up at what should be a great night’s craic on Saturday 12th May in The Magherabuoy. You know you want to!

Under 12s Win North Antrim Final

The under 12 hurlers collected the first silverware of the year for Eoghan Rua with a  two goals to nil win over Eoghan Ruadh Dungannon at the North Antrim indoor finals on Saturday in Seven Towers Leisure Centre in Ballymena.

The team qualified for the final with five straight wins in Swatragh the previous week and continued their run with an excellent performance in the final to secure the title.

Leo Passmore cracked in two unstoppable efforts near the end of the first half which proved to be the difference between the teams.  In the second half Dungannon pushed hard for a score but Kieran Lafferty and Dara Mooney put in powerful performances at the back to repel the Tyrone team.

At the final whistle the Eoghan Rua boys were elated to get the victory they fully deserved.

The Eoghan Rua team were Dara Mooney, Kieran Lafferty, Lorcan McMullan, Costas Papacristopolis, Owen Bowyer, Leo Passmore, Colm Lynch.
